The Final Paladin

My final paladin from the ten I bought years ago. Bittersweet, but complete. Started off with a Grim Black base coat followed by a healthy dry brush of The Darkness. After letting those cure a bit, I went over with a dry brush of Matte White. I sub assembly painted the model, with the helmet being glued to a tooth pick, the chest and book ornamentation being assembled, the shoulder pads being left off, and the legs being left aside to aid in detail work. The blade was heavily dry brushed with a second pass of white, and after drying, some Moondust was dry brushed across the top in a gradient. Some Moonbeam Yellow was used for edge highlights along the blade edge. After that dried, I applied some Magic Blue speed paint. I also hit the lenses in magic blue, a dot of white, and another coat. The armor is Polished Silver Speed Paint with Gemstone Red, Slaughter Red, and Hoplite Gold. The Halberd also has Golden's Iridescent Pearl for detail, and Gemstone Green metallic paint for the haft. The purity seals are with Blood Red Speed Paint for the wax. The radiator on the rear is a white undercoat, Demonic Yellow lines spaced out vertically across the ribs, and then Bloodmoon Red across all of it. I assembled the model at this point. The armor and paper for the seals is washed in Dark Tone, paying attention to getting it heavily into the recesses on the Golden pieces. The base is Grim Black followed by a dry brush of Matt White. Magic Blue is coated on top of that followed by two coats of Pale Sand. A coat of Vallejo Still Water is placed on top, and then a rock my daughter gave me was glued on top. After the model had time to dry, it was glued to the top of the model before I added Elmer's glue to the base where I wanted the snow to collect, and I mixed a few drops of Elmer's in with some water. I brushed the glue on the base before placing the model into a dish of modelling snow flock. I brushed on some watered down Elmer's and let it all dry. And this is the final result!
