Finished commission piece for a client. I focused on emphasizing the volumes of the golden armor through smooth transitions from shadow to light, contrasting them with the deep crimson of the fabrics and ivory-white details. The goal was to create a strong, noble presence while maintaining the iconic Blood Angels color palette.
As my primary tool, I used the Harder & Steenbeck Evolution CRplus 2024 airbrush for the primer, base coats, and overall volumetric work. I also used the airbrush to create the OSL effect on the axe, integrating its light into the surrounding areas.
