Ultramarine book nook

I have been burned out, and haven’t touched a brush since December. I thought this would be a fun project to reignite the flame again. It was nice painting something bigger. My approach was just to have fun and see where the brush would lead me. I didn’t have the “correct” colors for an ultramarine, but I just used whatever I had at hand. I think the darker blue works well and contrast nicely with the turquoise highlights. I went for a battle worn look, which helped hide any mistakes and just made it look really cool.
