Mawu - Swamp witch

Hi! I'd like to share with you my the hardest project – the Mawu bust from Kimera Models.
I bought this bust on 2024, thinking it would be fun to paint a female bust one day. At the time, I had no idea how much time and effort it would actually take – but I simply liked it, so I bought it and placed it on the shelf with the rest of my unpainted models… which was definitely smaller back then.
Now I finally decided to go for it and start painting. For the skin, I used oil paints to achieve smooth transitions – and I think it turned out quite nicely. When it came to the metallic elements, I was considering whether to go with TMM or NMM, and in the end, I chose the more challenging path and painted them using NMM, which I'm still learning.
There are also a lot of different materials and textures on this model, so I tried to give each surface its own feel and make sure it didn’t blend into the rest – and that was quite a challenge for me.
All in all, this was probably the most difficult project I've painted so far – but also one of the most rewarding. I hope you like the result!
