Working through my Grey Knight backlog and this is my second to last one. I started with my usual sub assembly of the chest, legs, and arms being separated from the shoulder pads and doing my layered base coat (Grim Black, The Darkness, Matt White). The blades are based similarly for the blue one, but the black blade is done in Grim Black, Gemstone Red and Death Metal dry brush. I then did Blood Red Speed Paint for the right sword and a thinned Grim Black on the left. The armor is trimmed in Hoplite Gold, Gemstone Red, Bleached Bone, and Ivory White. The lenses are Magic Blue Speed Paint over a white base, a dot of white for contrast, then more Magic Blue. Golden brand Iridescent Pearl is on the storm bolter, with Gemstone Green for the ammo case. The armor is painted in Polished Silver and all is washed with Dark Tone. The base is a Hoplite Game Studios Snow base that is based in Grim Black, then Matte White, then Magic Blue, then Ivory White with Vallejo Still Water to finish. After that, I attached the model and used Elmer's glue in spots before placing the model into a bowl of snow flock and coating the base. After that point I utilized watered down Elmer's on top of the snow to seal. And that's it!
