Unnamed bust
When I received this bust as a gift from Dark Roses Miniatures, I knew I wanted to use it for some training. I decided to make it my practice project, mainly for painting with oils and practicing skin tones.
And that's where I started - I painted it with oils, which I'm still learning to work with. On the water bag, I created leather texture. On the stopper, I attempted cork texture, which was an interesting challenge on such a small surface.
The large empty areas on the body needed something, so I decided on various tattoos and freehand practice. I tried it not only with acrylics, but some of the tattoos I painted with oils, which was also a challenge.
Painting this bust was fun. It's not perfect and it's not a bust close to my taste, but it was definitely enjoyable to try simple techniques and different approaches to painting.
