another miniature from the board game Zona: The Secret of Chernobyl (Rebel), painted the same way as the previous pieces in the series — speedpaint with a limited Ionic Smart Color palette and gunmetal/silver metallics, again put together during a visit to my board game club.
I based the color scheme on the character's in-game art again. The one thing I focused on more with this miniature was the paper he's holding — so it wouldn't look like a blank sheet, I freehanded something like a map of some structure (a maze) onto it.
Smart Colors
I feel like I so often default to straight scribbles across when painting any paper or something. The map/maze is cool expansion on that and seems fitting for the character (haven't looked into that game much yet).
Love the texturing on the strap and how you've done the hair.
