Sir Schnort von Stabbington

Long ago, I wanted a ton of goblins for fun. And when one has a lot of goblins, one starts to experiment a bit. This is one of those experiments - a Mantic goblin head & body, mixed with the arms of a Perry foot knight.

He sat unpainted probably since my undergrad years but this silly little contest got me thinking about what unpainted gobbos I had, and I found myself gravitated towards this guy... I experimented a fair bit with him, trying a blend of classic washes as well as some layering techniques. His green skin and his yellow livery were probably my favorite parts to do, I did some basic layering for his skin that paid off in a very popping nose and the yellow came out to die for. I also finally tried one of those Citadel texture paints on the base.

When I have more time, I'll return to him and paint some teeth and some stony highlights, maybe add some moss.

As for usage, I'll likely try to run him as a PC someday when I get the chance, but he may make an appearance in my modded Creed of Iron in Faerun adventure as a lieutenant to the militia leader, Raggnar Redtooth, who is likely to be an upcoming post.

Thanks to Goblin Hobbies for running this challenge and helping a poor kobold out of his painting rut!
