Andriej Smirnov, "Rat" from the Zona board game

I'm painting this miniature and others from this game for the board game club I regularly visit. Sometimes it's nice to take a break from painting for plinths and competitions and return to tabletop miniatures.

I tried to follow the reference from this character's game card. I have to admit, the sculpt of the miniatures from this board game is terrible - or maybe I'm just too spoiled by the sculpts I paint for competitions. Probably both. But for club gaming, I think this tabletop is perfectly acceptable. And playing with painted miniatures will definitely be more enjoyable than with grey plastic.

Sometimes it's refreshing to return to why I started painting in the first place - simply painting miniatures for playing.
