A great model but poor execution. There were gaps in the seams that took forever to fill. And painting under wings would have been impossible. Luckily I found someone on YouTube that took them off with a hair dryer, which worked for me as well.

The previously transparent water is mostly blue citadel washes inside and out, with white and pale blue dry brushing on the waves. Many layers of green and brown paints as well as washes on the skin. I love the molted look of the skin. It was a gift for my brother and he keeps on his desk. People assume he bought it finished, which I take as a compliment.
