Armiger Helverin, all NMM

Yes I am a madman who decided to paint an Imperial Knight entirely in non-metallic metal. I wanted practice at painting larger surfaces and adding texture to it, something which is a bit difficult to do on Night Lords infantry trim.
I also love OSL, so this is both of those together. Going with a blue lava base for the light source.

It was slow to begin with, but I quickly learned that if I rapidly apply a messy highlight with one of my brightest colours, I can glaze over that and darken it down where needed, which made doing this much quicker than going up one value step at a time.

An enamel wash of Dark Brown for Green with some Rust Streaks really helped pull the steel together.

All the OSL is by brush.
