Scaled for Slaughter: World Eaters Defiler

A Daemon Engine Reborn: World Eaters Defiler
For my One Page Rules army, I still needed a Chaos Space Marine Defiler.
Thankfully, One Page Rules is model-agnostic, which allowed me to revisit one of my all-time favorite Chaos designs.
The Brass Scorpion of Khorne is a truly iconic resin model, designed by Daren Parrwood and first released as part of Imperial Armour.
Unfortunately, as impressive as it is, the Brass Scorpion is far too large to properly represent a Defiler on the tabletop.
Models & Concept
Luckily, the talented .stl designer Leesedrenfort created a model that perfectly captures the brutal, arachnid, daemon-engine aesthetic — and could be scaled down precisely to Defiler size.
By adjusting the scale, I was able to create what I believe is the most fitting World Eaters Defiler imaginable:
low-slung, aggressive, brutal, and overflowing with Khorne’s raw mechanical fury.
This approach keeps the spirit of the Brass Scorpion alive, while making it fully playable and visually coherent within the army.
Painting Approach
The Defiler was painted in the same grimdark World Eaters scheme, but with extra emphasis on:
• Dark, oily metals and heat-stained armor
• Heavy weathering and battle damage
• Corrupted reds and muted brass tones
• Grime, soot, and dried blood worked into the recesses
The result is a daemon engine that looks ancient, brutal, and permanently locked in a state of barely contained violence.
Details & Features
• 3D-printed Defiler scaled to match One Page Rules proportions
• .stl design by Leesedrenfort
• Inspired by the Brass Scorpion of Khorne
• Heavy grimdark weathering and texture work
• Perfect thematic fit for a World Eaters army
Why This Project?
The Brass Scorpion has always been one of my favorite Chaos models — but practicality held it back.
This project allowed me to combine nostalgia, aesthetics, and gameplay into a single model that finally feels right on the table.
For my World Eaters, there could be no better Defiler.
