Mister Whithers

Whithers from Baldar's Gate 3 (WizKids Official Dungeons and Dragons Miniature)

This was a fun miniature to paint. The details were soft, which makes painting a little challenging. I started by stripping the factory primer. Then the figure was removed from the base and glued to a temporary base for painting.

The miniature was primed with Pro Acryl Dark Purple Primer. Then a sketch was done with an airbrush. Followed by blending and brushwork. A unifying of Goon's Grim (Villainy Ink) was applied and cleaned up. Next Whithers was put on a prepared and painted base. Finally, weathering pigments (Pro Acryl) were applied.

Pallet

I originally intended to do a non-metallic metal for the top of the staff (steel), and NNM gold for the crown and arm band. Later, I switched to metallic paints.

I like how the cape turned out here. That ink gave some nice deep shadows and that fade to bright at the edge is a nice effect.
