Hi all! Its the last of my "Throwback Thursday" posts for a while. I have finally finished up my Dark Angels painting tutorial and it is launching via my YT and my Patreon Thurs, Sept 3rd! So with that said, heres the full squad of my old Deathwing Termies hanging out together lookin all snazzy!
I was happy to dig these old guys out and show em off to the world again thru the last month and a half (plus they bought me all the time I needed to do my 5 man Dark Angels squad and complete the tutorial lol). When I posted these on Cool Mini or Not back in the late 2000s, I caught a lot of flak for them because the 90s Grim Bright style was very unpopular as the more gritty and realistic "Grim Dark" Eavy Metal style was the hot new thing! Im glad in modern times, Grim Bright painting is much more appreciated as an actual recognized and respected style!
Im super stoked to post the new Dark Angels painting tutorial along with all the minis I painted for it soon! Feels like it took me forever to finish, but I have to keep in mind that I painted 4 out of the 5 squad members before starting the actual tutorial mini. All in all, the tutorial took me 2 1/2 weeks from start to finish. Feels like an awesome accomplishment as all 4 major chapters will be covered painting wise on my YT and Patreon once the tutorial launches! Im looking forward to next week when I can finally start posting new minis again too!
