2nd Edition Dark Angels Deathwing Terminator

Hi all, its officially "Throwback Thursday"" for a bit on my end! I am currently neck deep in painting up my Tactical Squad of Dark Angels for my Dark Angels display Im going to be entering in LVO this fall, so I went thru and photographed a load of my old minis from the 90s and 00s specifically for situations like this! And so, to kick things off for the next 6 weeks, I wanted to break out my old Deathwing Terminators I did back in 2009 so as to stay with the Dark Angels phase Im currently in!

When I was younger, I always wanted to do up a display of good ol Deathwing Termies to have sitting on my shelf. So I took it upon myself at the time to paint up a squad to the best of my ability. I think I spent a good month or two working on a 5 man squad. Though, I didnt have the discipline or confidence to hand paint any company badges or symbols on them at the time. That sort of thing didnt happen until the last few years. Unfortunately over the years, the Citadel Matte Varnish I used on my minis at the time wound up turning yellow. Not quite as apparent on these guys, but it did wind up ruining most of what I painted in the my 2000s era journey thru painting. Not cool at all! Also theres a lot of dings, scratches and dust on these old bone colored lads due to geting banged around in their storage box thru all the different times I moved when I was younger.

Anywho, I hope you all dig this Deathwing Termie and the rest of his squad as I post them thru the coming weeks! I should have my initial Tactical Squad that Im currently working on, plus the accompanying painting tutorial, done and ready to go by the time Ive posted the final pics of my old Deathwing squad!
