Probably my favorite monster I've ever put to the table, this guy was the hit and run menace of a chapter teeming with claustrophobic ice dungeons, and his ability to pop out of walls in mist form meant the party could never be sure of where he'd show up next.
For the miniature, I wanted to experiment with some techniques involving bloodstains and the magical crystalline rock known as Chardalyn throughout the campaign. So, the black base layer of the stone he sits on is built up with metallics and purple hues to make it stand out as a slightly mysterious magical artifact of some kind. And then some red stains/washes on his hands and feet seep down into the stone itself, almost as if he is scratching bloodstains into the rock itself (best seen in image 2). The blood around his mouth gives him a clownish It-Like appearance, as he manifests in the players' very nightmares.
The snowy ice at the base is built up in a similar way to the stone, starting with a blue base layer and progressive white washes.
