Epic Scale Loyalist and Traitor Tanks for Rhino Racing

Hi all! For those in the States, Happy Thanksgiving!!! Anywho, I recently spent roughly 3 weeks painting up some Space Marine Rhinos and Land Raiders for the guy who runs my local Warhammer. In the Fall and Winter, he randomly hosts a game called Rhino Racing he came up with. I offered to paint him up some Rhinos (and Land Raiders) for the game back in Sept and he was delighted with the idea.

With that being said, I took it upon myself to paint him 6 Loyalist and Traitor legions in each a Rhino and Land Raider. This was a fun project as I havent painted Epic scale stuff in quite a while. Also, I wanted to make sure the tanks were easy to store when not in use, so I found a nice looking base thing over at a crafts store. I set the tanks on it in the general layout I wanted, took measurements, drew intersecting lines, drilled out guide holes and sank some screws. The underside of the tanks are hollow, so I glued in magnets to secure the tanks to the screws and wound up with the final layout you all see in the initial pics!

I dropped off the completed setup last Friday and the shop owner was beyond elated. It really made my soul happy! I love being able to give painted minis to the people as a gift.

Anywho, its Thanksgiving, gotta get dressed and head to my gals house to help her with a bit of cooking! Got the kids home for the holiday weekend, so looking forward to spending time with the family! Hope everyone has a great evening and awesome weekend!
