My latest project completed, another step towards my goal of painting every Primarch - this time, it was the incredibly detailed, extremely cool, Horus Ascended model!
This one took some time - overall I think I've been working on it for around 6 weeks. The base alone took a solid week of work, I don't think I've worked on a single base with so much detail before. But the real stand-out for this one, in my opinion, is the gold trim. I cursed myself several times for deciding to do it all with NMM techniques, but now it's done, I'm glad I did - it might just be my best NMM work to date!
It was also fun to work with the armour colour on this one - it was darker than any I've worked on before, and I went through several iterations of the green base trying to get it dark enough, without being just pure black. But in the end, I'm happy with the result.
