Hello,
this is my version of the Private Acorn bust, sculpted by talented Nick Tsouhlos. I really enjoyed painting it after the more serious project of the bull in corrida. The skin tones were the most fun—I experimented with greens, blues, and purples, adding some textures. In my vision, the goblin feels more like a little imp. He’s using the real acorn as a helmet, and that’s why I made the necklace from copper, to create some contrast and distinguish it. The high reflections on the acorn surface were a bit of a challenge, and to avoid a flat white look, I also tried to add a touch of light diffraction. I was also thinking about adding a little animal or insect on the helmet, but I’m not sure yet. What do you think? :)
Happy summer painting!
Cheers, Dakan

Wow! That skin is great, but the texture you added makes the expression incredible.
Love the texture of the skin, and the separation between items is perfect !
