Bound in Iron: World Eaters Contemptor

Support Units: Contemptor Dreadnought of the World Eaters

Let’s move on to the support elements of the army.
Here is my World Eaters Contemptor Dreadnought — a fully 3D-printed model that brings heavy firepower and unstoppable presence to the force.

Models & Concept

This Contemptor was printed from .stl files created by the talented artist MCGuild. Sadly, these files are no longer available, which makes this model even more special to me.

The design perfectly captures the brutal elegance of a Contemptor chassis: tall, imposing, and built for relentless destruction. For the World Eaters, it represents a fallen warrior entombed not for honor or remembrance — but to continue the slaughter without end.

Painting Approach

The Dreadnought was painted in the same grimdark World Eaters style as the rest of the army, but scaled up to match its size and presence.

Key focus areas included:
• Heavy weathering and battle damage
• Dark, oily recess shading
• Worn white armor plates with corrupted red accents
• Scratches, chipping, and grime to emphasize centuries of warfare

The larger surfaces allowed for deeper texture work and stronger contrast, helping the model feel truly ancient and war-worn.

Details & Features
• Fully 3D-printed Contemptor Dreadnought
• .stl files by MCGuild (no longer available)
• Grimdark texture work and heavy weathering
• Cohesive with the rest of the World Eaters force
• A true heavy support centerpiece

Why This Project?

Every World Eaters army needs brutal support units, and a Contemptor Dreadnought felt like the perfect choice.
It bridges infantry and heavy support, embodying the idea of endless rage — even in death, the slaughter continues.
