Battletech: Rifleman

First time the Baselair had a competition, I thought "awesome! A great motivation to dig into my backlog each month!"

And then came Mecha May...
And I was super-interested in the prize...
And I was missing a mech to paint...

So I went and bought a few more 'mechs.

Somewhen, somehow, the backlog-eating plan backfired. ;-)

Still, very glad I did it. For the occasion I went for the classic Rifleman model. Better still, I painted it in an orange theme reminiscent of the Warhammer cover art on the very first Battletech box I owned.

Execution-wise, there is not a lot to say, except that I tried my hand at free-painting the 'A' and '1' on the chassis. Considering my natural calligraphic talent, I'm actually pleased on how it looks. Could be a lot better, no doubt, but could be worse as well. :-)
