Grimdark Trials has announced a new competition: Chrono Heresy! The idea being you take a sci-fi grimdark model and make it fantasy and vice versa. This is my entry for the fantasy to sci-fi part. Took some old tank sponson bits, the cannon left over from the Iron Strider I did last year, some green stuff, and colorful language to make the giant F Off cannon over the knight's shoulder. I used an old plasma fusilier from some left over Forge World Cataphractii Terminators and laid in the metal and metallic high lights over a coat of rust and chipping medium.
After it dried I abused the hell out of it to make it look battered, did the glow effects on the weapons, some final wash and touch up, and it is finished. I have the sci-fi to fantasy model coming next Monday and I have ideas...
Super creative! I think this is awesome! I haven't not really done any sort of kit-bashing/sculpting. But this is excellent. Good luck on the competition!
