Spider Rider Cavalry: The Bioluminescent Scourge

Paints Used (Army Painter Range)
I achieved this look exclusively using the Army Painter system, utilizing their Warpaints and Speedpaints to build the gradients.

Spider Carapace (Orange/Red): I started with a base of Lava Orange, shading down with Mars Red and using Strong Tone wash in the recesses to define the chitinous plates.

The Bioluminescent Glow (Blue/Purple): For the OSL on the underbelly and legs, I used Electric Blue and Voidshield Blue, feathered out into Royal Purple to simulate the light bleeding onto the orange surfaces.

The Goblin Rider: The skin was developed using Greenskin highlighted with Necrotic Flesh. The armor and wooden spear shaft were finished with Hardened Leather (Speedpaint) for quick, realistic texture.

Glow Effects: The piercing eyes were dotted with White Matt and then glazed with a thin mix of Moon Dust and Fluorescent Green to create that "magical" radioactive look.

The Base: Kept simple with Oak Brown and Leather Brown, topped with Highland Tufts to ground the miniatures in a forest/swamp setting.

What do you think of the OSL? Always looking for feedback from fellow hobbyists! #TableTopTeleMinis #MiniaturePainting #ArmyPainter #DND #SpiderRiders #AncientEvil #Wargaming
