Knight (Galaad Miniatures)
Painted a knight from Galaad Miniatures. I'm fairly new to the hobby. I'm trying to learn basic techniques before tackling bigger projects.
My recipe:
Matt Black Spray Can primer (Army Painter) with Matt White zenithal highlight.
Armour - Basecoat of Hardened Carapace (AP) and dry brushed with Plate Metal metallic (AP). Dark Tone wash ( AP)
Chain Mail - Basecoat of Hardened Carapace (AP) and then dry brushed with Gun Metal metallic paint (AP). Dark Tone wash (AP).
Sword - Basecoat with Hardened Carapace (AP). Blade and pommel were dry brushed with Shining Silver (AP). The Hilt had a light brushing of Plate Mail Metal ( AP)
Cloth - Dark Sky ( AP) basecoat allowing the zenithal highlight to peak through. I used Ash Grey (AP) for the frills of the cloth.
Belts - Baselayer of Monster Brown (AP) and some highlights with Leather Brown (AP) .
I also tried using some acrylic markers that I picked up from a hobby shop. I tried a little freehand on the little jousting shield on the Knight's chest.
For the base I used Skeleton Bone (AP) and Chaotic Red (AP) for the tiles and tried to blend them together with a wash of Strong Tone (AP).
*AP = Army Painter
