SilkSong Hornet Diorama

Hello and happy Thursday all! This time around, Im posting something a bit different... and this lil lass has a very special spot in my heart.

Going back nearly a decade ago when HollowKnight debuted, I played the hell out of that game! Thru it all, Hornet wound up becoming my favorite character. Skip forward to Sept of last year and the oh so amazing sequel SilkSong was finally released! At the time, I was neck deep in painting up my RT Space Wolves squad for LVO. I bought the game within a day or so of its release and got to test drive it for like an hour before getting back to my Wolves. I promised myself I wouldnt touch it again until Oct!

Well, Oct rolled around, got my Wolves done for and went to LVO. Had an absolute blast that weekend. Afterwards, I finally had time to myself again so I booted up SilkSong and off I went for a good 3 weeks. I was beyond burned out and didnt wanna touch brush to mini at all, so SilkSong was my much needed decompression!

Scrolling thru social media one day, I noticed a little Hornet miniature being advertised. I thought she was awesome so I ordered one. She showed up and looked horrible. For example, her cloak was like a desaturated purple and her plastic insert was completely mishapen. I thought to myself "Im gonna repaint her completely and make a diorama inside her box. So I sat down earlier this year and I did just that. Shes actually going to be my "diorama" entry for this years LVO too! All of her pieces are modular, so she can be removed from her box and displayed outside of it, though in box is how shes going to be entered.

Anywho, I hope you all dig my lil Hornet diorama! I love seeing her sitting on my display shelves here at home. But until next week, I hope you all have an awesome and productive weekend!
