The sculpt of Cthulhu Death May Dies' Deep Ones captures their hybrid form—scaled skin, gaping maw, and a posture that feels halfway between a predator’s lunge and a ritual procession. I leaned into the deathly aquatic tones of dead fish, highlighting slick textures to suggest something freshly bloated and risen from the surf. They’re not just monsters—they’re a reminder of Innsmouth’s curse, the promise that the sea always takes back what it lends. These were treated to a quicker paint job than my usual attention to detail because their sculpt was a little flimsy overall. They're a bit disappointing compared to some of CDMD's other monster's but then again they don't spend much time on the board either as they're so easy to take out.
