The next mini in my series of Horus Heresy characters by legion is now done - for the 3rd legion, the Emperor's Children, I went with the obvious choice, everyone's favourite Saul Tarvitz.
This model was a lot of fun - he had a lot of heraldry and ornamentation that I haven't done a lot of recently, and it's a stunning model to work on! I experimented this time with using an extremely light blue as the base for the white sections, and I think it worked in making them look clean, but not as stark as white often can.
I'm most proud of his cloak, as I've never managed to achieve such good shading on white before without it looking dirty. I also like the highlighting on the armour, tried to push myself to go further with the contrast this time and I think it paid off!
