I haven't painted anything in a long time, and I didn't even feel like posting the stuff I'd already finished. But then, for my brother's birthday, I decided to paint Mortarion as a gift for him. I’ve liked this miniature (though it’s more of a “gigaminature”) for a long time myself, but since I don’t play Warhammer, I didn’t want to buy it just for the sake of it—until this opportunity came up. It took me two weeks to paint (I tried to do it in one), and I don’t want to repeat experiments like this again. You need to set aside at least a month of steady work for this little fairy, or better yet, two. As it was, I had to cut corners wherever possible, so now it’s practically a circle. I wouldn’t call this artistic painting—more like “Game-Ready++”—but my brother is happy, and so am I.
