Space Pickle and lil Dan

Hi all... Time for another round of what I painted up for Christmas. This fuzzy little guy (and his multilimbed buddy) were a special highlight for the year to paint. Dubbed Space Pickle and painted in the likeness of my gals kitteh Sashimi Pickle, this mini set was something Id been wanting to paint for quite a while! Designed and sculpted by Neko Galaxy Minis, my gals son bought him at Las Vegas Open from the Verkos Vault booth this past October. Id seen various pictures of these minis floating around on le interwebs for a while and when he came walking up with this in hand I took the minis from him and mentioned "Youll get these back at Christmas" lol! Id been racking my brain for weeks trying to figure out what to paint my gals son for Christmas, and its funny sometimes how life provides the simplest answers to some of our most difficult answers.

Painting up Space Pickle and lil Dan took roughly 3 weeks. They were so different to the normal GW affair. Space Pickle stands a bit taller than a Primaris mini by about 10mm. Once completely assembled, he was a heavy lil dude! Though I will say I am very impressed with how far resin injection molding has comes since the 90s! The detail was very clean, crisp and well defined! Back in the olden days, resin models of this size were very hit and miss... So seeing such great advancement in resin casting is really cool!

Ive got a few things I need to work on today, namely updating the graphics for my podcast overlays, so need to hop to it! I hope you all had an awesome weekend and Ill talk to you again as the week wears on with my final mini to post for the year!
