“It was a terrible, indescribable thing vaster than any subway train—a shapeless congeries of protoplasmic bubbles, faintly self-luminous, and with myriads of temporary eyes forming and unforming as pustules of greenish light all over the tunnel.” ~H.P. Lovecraft
Process: Pro Acryl was used in stippled layers to volumetrically shade and develop mottling throughout the piece. The eyes were built up using a process I have been cultivating across several pieces. The whole piece was treated with multiple filters of acrylic washes and oil washes. Effects were achieved with dirty-down products and resin applications blended with pigments, and the base was treated with resin and a tale of grimdark.
