2nd Edition Grim Bright Ultramarines Squad

With all of the single minis out of the way, heres the full squad of my Blueberries! Took these with me to Golden Demon back in March as my "40k Squad" entry. Wound up snagging a "Notable Entry" pin for them, which I was beyond elated to receive! Golden Demon was an awesome experience as it was a dream of mine to compete in since I was a youngin back in the 90s and I honestly didnt think I was going to receive anything for any of the minis I entered. It was to my surprise coming back on Sunday to find pins sitting next to most of my entries!

I think it took me roughly 3 odd weeks to paint up all these lil goobers. The final mini wound up being the Blueberry I used to make my "How To Paint Grim Bright Ultramarines" painting tutorial with, which was a good thing as by the time Id gotten to him, I had the recipe for my Ultramarines well practiced and embedded in my brain! I will be entering these guys, along with the old 2nd edition Marneus Calgar and his 2 Terminator body guards in Las Vegas Open this coming October. I finished Calgar up a few nights back and Im currently working on the Termies. I will post Calgar in a few weeks from now. Though, all of them will be on a new display base as this one was temporary for Golden Demon (this base now belongs to a squad of Blood Angels). Overall Im really happy with the recipe I came up with for my Blueberries, and its really neat to see all these guys done.
