Clanrat 3

The third rat of the series where i decided to fully bench the wash and working purely through layering and trying a more interesting light situation. This was also my now 3rd attempt at getting a rat skin color I liked, and I also experimented more with figuring out how much of my skavens snout do I want fleshy. He is a bit less striking (despite his pose) in terms of color than my very first one but I had decided to experiment with different shades of browns over the army, to make for a less uniform army. This is a rabble of ratmen barely held together by fear of their leader afterall, not some field infantry.
I still missed the mark in my opinion on his skin, which ended up a bit too much like a bright pink.
I did however quite like the work done on his tail and his feet, as well as some of the shading under his raised arm. I feel like this guy gave me some pretty good grasp on layering as I made him.
