Eric, The Eager - AKA Moonstone book Unit

Painted in May 2025

I built this diorama for the online competition Moonstone May hosted by the game developer Goblin King Games. I used a small antique children's book from the 1910's as the base. The leather binding was too old to utilize, so I bought a book-binding kit online and rebound the book in faux leather. I soaked the pages in a glue water solution and once they were dry had a base to build off of.

This piece was fortunate to win several awards in 2025 -Moonstone May best of Commission Painting -Bronze in Unit at the Capital Palette 2025 Journeyman Division -Silver Most Creative of show award presented by Spraygunner at the Capital Palette 2025 -Bronze Medal of Merit at the VVMC at LVO 2025 (OCT) -Verko's Vault mark at the LVO 2025 (OCT) -Bronze in Unit Standard in the MPO Online 2025 -Bronze in Unit Standard in the Squidmar Open 2025
