Cato Sicarius

Cato Sicarius finished. One of my favorite remakes of a classic miniature.

For this piece, I used a mix of techniques: airbrush, glazing, and controlled hatching for texture, along with both TMM and NMM.

I worked with different paints—using Ionic for saturated colors, the Infinity CR Plus 2024 airbrush for base work, and Pro Acryl for metallics and desaturated tones.
The finest details, especially on the face, were done using Roubloff brushes (sizes 0 and 00).

It was a great experience painting one of the most iconic Ultramarines. I’d love to paint Marneus or Titus next—hopefully soon.
