Rogue Trader era Leman Russ with Wolves

Finally decided to make my Leman Russ I painted last year for Darren Lathams Glow Up Challenge a display base! While I was cutting together footage for my Space Wolves tutorial back in June, I really needed to do something hands on. I was neck deep editing in Premiere for a good week and a half which caused me to get very antsy!

After I finished Leman and his wolves last Sept, Id wanted to build them a display base ever since as I didnt like how easily the minis could be disturbed in my display case, and seeing as Leman is such an iconic old Space Wolf mini from the good ol Rogue Trader days, I felt he and the wolves were incomplete without a proper display base.

The display base is built from balsa wood, PVA glue, flock, grass tufts and a few screws. The bottoms of the mini bases had magnets glued in place to lock them to the screws after I dremeled out some notches in the slot areas. I use screws for my display bases and plinths as the height of them can be adjusted easily so they are able to meet directly with the magnets in the bottoms of minis bases.

Anywho, I need to get my day rolling! Currently working on my single mini entry for LVO (Im actually entering two, second being my Logan Grimnar I did in May) and Ive got some video editing to finish up.
