Battle Pilgrim Jonathan

For this model I tried a couple of things. First off I tried to paint a rough fabric (burlap) and tried to push the contrast a little further. Also I tried something different than the pure zenithal lighting, but a light from the side, creating one lighter and one darker side of the mini. Also I tried to improve my NMM, which worked well when looking at the model from the left side, but on the "shadow side" it could use some improvement.

The model is from the Battle Pilgrim set of Highlands Miniatures.

Story behind the Miniature:
Jonathan is one of the few Pilgrims who joined the Order of the Healing Blood on their journey to Mordheim. When the Order was faced with a young wyrm emerging from the bowels of the city, Jonathan was one of the first in it's lair. He fought valiantly against the beast, all while singing praises to the Lady. When the creature was finally slain, Jonathan felt disappointed, the Lady had not deemed him worthy of dying against such a formidable foe. To remind him of his failure, he took a talon bone of the dragon as relic.
