Machinist's Mate Tony Boyle

This model is Machinist’s Mate Tony Boyle, an investigator from Cthulhu: Death May Die. This character specializes in moving fast around the board, which is great for retrieving things without getting caught.

Originally I wasn't too excited about this model since he was just wearing blue pants and a white shirt. It didn't seem that interesting. I found ways of bringing in more colors into the white and blue, like purple and dark cream colors which helped give it a bit more visual interest. I really like the look of this character's expression, and spending a little more time on the eyes really helped draw that out. I wanted to give this character some visible tattoos and ended up doing some research on real sailor tattoos and tried to give these that "lived-in" rough quality look.
