Revenge of the Grots

Kraft Klash 2025 Entry - MrModulork's Klubhouse on Discord
Winner- 1st Place

"Revenge of the Grots"

Grugbog was vicious, even for a Runtherd. He whipped and shocked any grot that even looked at him. He took pride in drawing blood with each whip crack. Finally the grots had had enough. They plotted in secret, talking of "revolushun". Snigdumm wanted to stab Grugbog in his sleep. Snogtox wanted to shoot him in the back. Finally Snistrak stepped forward and said "We's gotta blow 'im up but good! BOOM!" This was Snistrak's solution for everything, as he loved his bombs and dynamite. But the rest glommed onto the idea and the revolushun was underway. Pilfering parts from wrecked jet and a giant 'umie bomb, they cobbled together a flying explosive contraption that was capable of levelling a fortress. This wasn't quite good enough for the likes of Grugbog, so they loaded it with every other bomb and missile they could scrounge. A pair of big shootas for good measure and some scrap tankbusta mines completed the job.It was far too heavy to fly, but the grots cared little for such trivial matters. Revenge was on the menu, and they planned to eat it all!

The day came, and the rest of the grots planned their distraction to keep Grugbog busy and in one place long enough for Snistrak and Snogtox to deliver the revolushun's sweet revenge. The thought never crossed their minds that there was no way to survive the impending devastation they were about to unleash...

This piece was created as an entry in the KraftKlash 2025 competition held on MrModulork's Klubhouse on Discord in Orktober 2025. With the exception of the brass rods used for the bullet tracers everything is 3D resin printed. With the exception of the large bomb itself, all parts were sculpted by MrModulork. The large bomb I sculpted myself in MS 3D Builder and meshmixed the engine from MrModulork parts. The wings and other gubbins are printed parts that were added on after printing.

I had a great time with this piece. The 30 day deadline start to finish was and still is an excellent motivator to move fast and tell an eye-catching story. I might enter again this year. We'll see what my motivation level is by then.
