I really focused on the fur cloak for this model and I am quite happy with how it turned out. I am happy with the color and texture in the fur. My main self criticism on this model is that I think I should have gone with a darker color for his shirt and pants since I went lighter with the fur.

Eldritch Kolinsky Brushes
I love a good dwarf! This guy looks great, I especially like how his equipment looks, the wood and metal is awesome.
I get what you're saying about darkening his clothes, but alternatively, I keep wanting the focus to be his face, which I think you could achieve by just giving him darker hair (and beard). Still, that's not an actual critique, just a thought based on what you mentioned.
Also, I like the little background blurb you shared, it takes him from a cool mini to a cool character!
