Gertrude the Wasteland Race Car (Print Minis)

Gertrude has sat in a box for the past nine months. After she fell off the painting desk and several pieces shattered (gunner, roof, beams), I was too discouraged to finisher her. She was intended as a Christmas gift for a nephew (he got a soccer/football instead). Luckily the Speed Freaks challenge rescued her

I always intended to paint her as a rally car, in a weird Max Max/Love Bug mashup. She could work for Gaslands, but unfortunately she is the wrong scale (32mm). She was a lot of fun to weather. The sponge from a disposable chipping brush really was effective of giving a weather sun bleached paint scheme
