In Memoriam
I have talked a bit on here about how once upon a time I was a regular painter and wargamer, then for the while left the hobby for family reasons. See my post: https://thebaselair.com/projects/316103-mounted-kreoss.
When I came back a lot had changed. My old game, War Machine was largely dead in my area. At the same time thanks to a big Kickstarter I had a bunch of new BattleTech not all of which I had a paint scheme in mind for. It was my daughter, who suggested I do on in my old scheme. So here is a Devastator, a 100ton Assault mech, done up in my old Protectorate of Menoth paint scheme. I think this model shows my progress since I restarted the hobby, and also was a way to reflect on my journey.
Also I busted out my cheap lightbox and took some photos over the holidays. Is this better than the photography for my other projects?

On the photography, I like the more solid backdrop. The lights may be a little too strong as those hard cast shadows are a little distracting from the model. You might also try getting a shot from a lower angle relative to the model.
I think you can tell your daughter she has an eye for cool color schemes lol.
