Star Spawn from Cthulhu Death May Die

This figure was painted a little over a year after the Mansions of Madness Star Spawn I shared earlier. I prefer this sculpt since it emphasizes the face rather than the wings. For a long time, I wasn’t sure how to approach it, so it sat on my desk for nearly a year until I finally decided to stop overthinking and just experiment. The result is a blend of techniques—speedpaints mixed with layering—and a piece shaped by simply letting the sculpt guide the process.
