The Drunken Mermaid
This was a fun little terrain piece, I looked up a lot of other peoples take on this model, and a lot of them pained it as if it was a living looking creature lots of warm skin tones. My take on her was different, I painted her with a green skin tone to make it look as if she was carved out of wood.
The wood pillars called Dolphins (A cluster of pilings tied together) are done using Vallejo model color (VMC) Burnt Umber as a base coat and adding VGC (Vallejo Game Color) Khaki for highlights and then finally just pure VGC Khaki for a final highlight.
The anchor was done using a TMM of VMC steel mixed with some black ink and violet as a base, and then rust effects (use whatever you like to get the results). Enjoy the mermaid and enjoy mer-may (Puns you know) and remember, it gets better.
