RTB09 Space Wolves Terminator 01

Hi everyone! I decided to paint up a squad of old Rogue Trader era Terminators for a "squad entry" in Las Vegas Open coming up in October as I thought it would make an interesting display piece due to the age of the models... and that Ive never done up a full squad of Wolves via these old minis before!

Ive been under a huge time crunch to get these done by the first weekend of Oct. At the time of starting, I had roughly four weeks to complete all six of the Terminators. I removed the terminator honors from the legs on all of the models so as to be able to paint on 2nd edition style pack markings and more modern based runes (as I paint on all of my Wolves), as well as adding a few Wofly bits here and there to the minis. Keep in mind these are resin prints as there was no way I was going shell out the insane amount folks want for these old minis now... Also didnt want to wind up with most of the models having miscasting issues as metal Rogue Trader termies were very prone to. I have loads of the original metal minis on hand that have minor to major miscasting issues hence me going the route I chose with prints. I had little interest in spending days fixing miscastings (if possible) as I dont have the patience for that kind of thing. One last little tidbit, all of the arms are magnetized so I can swap them between models!

Anywho, this is the first mini of the squad. I will be posting more as time goes on and I get them done. Half of the squad is painted and ready to go. Ill take pics of and post the full display of the squad once I get them all done. I built a fully magnetized display base out of balsa wood and foam to keep them planted and looking like a cohesive unit for viewing! Wish me luck in Las Vegas Open. I hope the judges enjoy seeing these old Grim Bright Wolfy lads!
