Minimal budget = paint to improve
Part of joining here is sharing my journey with balancing PARENTING and my love for the HOBBY. Part of that balance is knowing when the budget isn't looking to support the plastic fuled itch. I started the wraithkinght last year in between homes and since then its been sitting. This is a great example of enjoying the hobby on a budget. Find an unfinished mini, get it built, primed and work on improving painting skills. Here's the build and prime. Photos of the painting to come!

So, I like what you are trying to do here, sharing not just your models but something of your Hobby journey. I went through a period like you describe where a new baby and family health issues caused me to pack up my hobby gear for a number of years. I have pictures somewhere of the model that got me painting again. On a tarp on the floor next to my kind who was finger painting. Based on your description it sounds like I am a number of years ahead of you on the same path. Good luck.
