Hussite 15th century

This Hussite from Tartar Miniatures, in 75 mm scale, is my second attempt at painting a historical miniature.
Most of the time, I focus on fantasy figures, but every now and then, I’m drawn back to the medieval era – a period I enjoy not only visually, but also through my other hobby, historical reenactment.

Painting this miniature was a way to connect two of my passions – miniature painting and history.
I tried to incorporate my knowledge of historical materials, textile colors, and leathers, as well as how these elements might have looked in reality.
My goal wasn’t to create a perfect hero, but rather a believable soldier of his time.

Even though the result isn’t flawless, I’m happy with how it turned out and hope I’ve managed to push my skills a little further.
