I picked this small miniature as a relaxing project and, at the same time, as a little challenge to explore skin tones. Since the naked victim takes up a large part of this 28mm scene, I wanted to focus mainly on shading the skin of both characters and see how much contrast I could achieve at such a small scale.
I also wanted to give the scene a bit more context. I filled part of the base with resin to suggest shallow water by the shore and complete the environment around the two characters.
The Brother Vinni miniature is hand-sculpted and cast in resin. Painting this little scene was a nice change of pace, and I really enjoyed working on it.
