This is not the thing I was trying to make, but it is a thing.
Everything that could go wrong, did - I melted the foam back wall with spray paint (that I had used on foam and not melted previously) but luckily there was enough texture material on it, that it was salvageable.
I mixed the resin too dark and lost all the plants and details in the base
The UV resin cured on the top and bottom - but I didn't realised it hadn't cured in the middle until I unwrapped it and it squished out. That took a lot of cleaning up and then slow filling with a syringe to fix.
Then being the clever egg I am - I thought it would be a good idea to do the cell shading black with a marker pen - and then realised when I came to clean it up that the marker just bled through acrylic paint no matter how many layers I put on! So it has had many stages of repair, refill, and rub down.

I am fond of this weird little fella though, and I'm glad I persevered with it and got it to a finished point, he deserved that much.

The metal mini was from ebay listed as - Wasteman The Abyzmaloid
The rock face is I believe by Simpso Miniatures and bought through Ramshackle Games.

haha what a journey. Still, the final product looks awesome. I love the little alien. So cute! (but also kinda creepy)

Maybe a lot of things did go wrong, but I think a lot of things went right too! Its always good to push through and get something over the finish line :)
