Horizon: Zero Dawn Thunderjaw

Whoo boy, this was a big one. I remember really enjoying painting the 120mm Rockbreaker, and deciding to paint this monster, another 120mm machine with even more surface area than the last. I enjoyed painting this guy too, and I also learned a lot of lessons while doing so. I tried another brand of paint, I learned that thinning your thicker paints is very important, I learned that certain colors combined or washed do not always look the way you think they will, AND this is the first base I ever used resin on, which also led to some lessons about which basing products work well with resin and which ones REALLY don't. It was a long, difficult, but overall enjoyable process, and I'm very happy with how it turned out, despite it's faults. I am especially proud of how well the base blends with the board, as you can see in the fifth pic.

TL/DR, this mini was a major milestone for me learning some very important lessons that I still reflect on today!
