Ragnar Blackmane

This is my 3rd Ragnar Blackmane ever painted (last photo shows progression over the years). I painted this one for my best friend who recently had a child after losing his first. He plays Space Wolves and I wanted to paint a model that I knew he'd love, but that would also represent our long-standing friendship. He gave me permission to paint him blonde as he originally was. I did very muted/dark grey to match my friend's army, and matched his basing scheme.

I had lots of fun trying some volumetric highlighting, painting easily the best face I've ever done, and trying the frost effect on Frostfang.
